I don't really have much to report, I just wanted to direct your attention to this. It's a PDF file (Get Adobe Acrobat Reader for free HERE) that was published by the Human Rights Campaign that goes through and rates different companies upon their kindliness. Some things were certainly surprising going through it. Meijer is one of the lowest rated stores in all of the categories (and we all know how much I Love Meijer) and some how disgustingly enough Wal-Mart got a fairly decent score. Also, Abercrombie & Fitch/Hollister recieved relatively low scores. That's pretty damn odd considering...lol. That's ok...I refuse to shop there anyway. In related news, Miami University of Ohio is currently undergoing some legalities because State (Ohio) Representative Thomas Brinkman, Jr. has decided to sue the university "alleging that Miami's domestic partner benefit program violates Article XV, Section 11 of the Ohio Constitution (the "Marriage Amendment"). The lawsuit asks the Butler County Court of Common Pleas to enjoin the University from continuing to provide domestic partnership benefits. " How are people like this elected? This is dispicable, and I hope he is ashamed of himself and realizes what a horrible thing he is doing. Why shouldn't people with slightly different (and in NO way harmful to others) views be kept from recieving their benefits? Argh. People make me sick sometimes.
Christmas is going to be a little odd this year I think. We don't really have any decorations up because of our new furry friends that enjoy ransacking the house and anything/everything in it. Hopefuly by next year they'll be a little less curious about everything. They are too lovable to get angry with though. It will be held at my Aunt Jan's this year, and once again Christmas Eve will be at my household instead of my grandparents. I suppose this shall do. It will kind of be stinky without all of the decorations though. Our house is normally so pretty with all of the Christmas decorations. My mom is going to make all the food she was originally intending to make for Thanksgiving, so that's good.
I expanded on my "Uncle Ben's Ready Rice" adventure today. Last time I had tried Roasted Chicken and it was quite good, but left a somewhat rank odor in the microwave. Today I tried the Spanish Rice and it was both even more delicious and less odorific. I am so glad I have discovered this wonderful feat in food. This stuff is amazing and will hopefully be fulfilling all of my long overdue rice desires for some time to come.
Sadly, "A User's Guide to Argyle" did not air this week, but if any of you are concerned, it will be airing next week, and that could possibly be our last show of the semester. Maybe we'll do one Final's Week...we're not sure yet. We'll have to see how it goes. OH! Speaking of which...I apparently only have one final on final's week, and it happens to be 7:30AM on Tuesday, which means, I mayhaps have the opportunity of being home for a slightly extended time period. Getting a ride will be pretty difficult though, considering it's so early in the week. Mayhaps my parents will be ok with driving me since it's like in the middle of the week. I would rather not be here for a bunch of days longer than I have to be. But we shall see. I won't worry about that now. Haha. Of course I will, but it's certainly not the most cumbersome of my worries currently. Exams are coming and going, and this loverly semester is drawing to a close. Sadness. I was spoiled this semester in my schedule, and next year will most likely not bring a whole lot of happiness haha. But once again, I must try not to focus on that now and just get through my final exams. Oh, and going back to how this paragraph started before majorly tangenting, next semester me and Hilary are pretty confident we'll be able to get a 2-Hour show next semester. I sure hope so, I think that would be fun.
And now I think I'm done...
Until next time...
Peace and Pillows.
