Prostitutes, Jesus, and Billy Joel

So last night was excitingly uneventful. Or maybe it's the other way around. Slightly disappointing maybe is actually the best way of putting that. At roughly 1am I changed into my hoodie and sneakers and decided to go for a little jog around Western while listening to some rather spectacular music from my oh-so-aptly named "Dancing Happiness" Playlist on my overly stuffed iPod. In the middle of the jog I decided to stop for a couple rounds of pool to try to get my game back to par, and I did fairly well and did a couple of rather impressive shots if I do say so myself. Maybe it's just the pressure of the game thats got me. Oh well. With a little more practice maybe the "pressure" won't be so devastating on my game and I might actually be semi-decent rather than the previous embarrassing performances. Anywho...

2 happy things of the week (and they're really really shallow):
  • Felicity Huffman was on Ellen DeGeneres' show today - seriously, my heart was overwhelmed. Probably 2 of my most favorite female celebs...altogether as one happy family.
  • On a very related note, tomorrow Sasha Cohen will be on Ellen. The newest person to whom I must bestow a smile and a slight uplifting of the heart towards.
Sad, but true. And now, for the real reason for this post...it was something that Hilary got really really excited about and she ended up writing a short entry in her journal about it, so I decided to copy and steal it. So the following are all of Hilary's thoughts and words, I just thought it would really be worth sharing it with more people, because I think it's fantastic, as most things Hilary does are.
Matthew makes such a big point of saying that the line of David has whores in it. Jesus=related to prostitutes(Tamar, Rahab). and the ungodly rulers of Israel (Jehoshaphat, Asa). The very first chapter in the very first book of the new testament. that's what was important first. that Jesus was irreversably connected to harlots and corrupt politicians. it's supposed to be obvious, but it gets lost in all those "begat"s.
Isn't that loverly? I love my Hilary dearly. And I finished the third Lemony Snicket book last night.

PS. Today is the first day of March...happy getting closer to spring day! Also also...yesterday was PACZKI DAY!!!! It's not celebrated in this part of Ohio sadly enough, but my mom is supposedly sending some my way so that I may have a slightly late celebration of this fantastic Polish Fat Tuesday. I really love being Polish. And days like this can really make me miss home sometimes.

Currently Listening to: Whatever incredibly annoying thing my roommate has decided to put on while I "try to get my work done" is on in the background. Seriously...what is this crap?
